Faculty history

The faculty operates on the basis of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Education” and “the National program for training”. The activities of the faculty are aimed at training highly qualified specialists for secondary and secondary specialized educational institutions. The Faculty of Chemistry and Biology was established on January 20, 1960 under the name “Chemistry – Biology”. Since 1994, it has been transformed into the “Natural Science” Center. In 2001, on the basis of the center, the faculties of “Chemistry-Geography” and “Biology-Soil Science” were formed. On August 26, 2005, both faculties were merged into one under the name “Chemistry-Biology”.

From November 5, 2011, the faculty was called “Natural Science and Geography”, and from July 8, 2014 – “Natural Sciences”.

From September 23, 2021, the faculty was renamed into “Chemistry-Biology”.
