History of the department

In 2021, the "Theoretical and experimental physics" department was established. The department has 2 professors, 1 candidates of science, associate professors, 3 doctors of philosophy (PhD), 4 assistant teachers and 3 basic doctoral students. Scientific potential - 60%. Department "Theoretical and experimental physics" 60530900 - is a department producing specialists in the field of physics. The department has a master's degree in the specialty "70530901 - Physics (by directions).

Main tasks

In all subjects taught at the department, educational technologies have been created on the basis of modern pedagogical and information technologies. The department has two lecture halls equipped with modern information, communication and multimedia facilities. Currently, Dilshod Abdurazokovich Normurodov is the head of the department. In order to increase the scientific potential of the department, all young teachers are assigned to experienced teachers. At the moment, 4 teachers are working on a doctoral dissertation. At the department, a research laboratory "Micro and Nanoelectronics" was created, equipped with modern laboratory equipment. In this laboratory, masters, basic doctoral students, professors and teachers of the department and researchers from partner organizations conduct research related to their scientific work. The department cooperates with such departments of universities as the Tashkent State Technical University named after I. Karimov, Samarkand State University named after Sh. Rashidov, the National University of Uzbekistan named after M. Ulugbek, the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Ion-Plasma and Laser Technologies ANRUz, and with many higher educational institutions our republic. In addition, the department has cooperation agreements with higher educational institutions of the CIS countries. Teachers and professors of our department publish articles together with professors of the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. P. Veliky RAS, Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics. V. Kotelnikova. Scientific cooperation is being carried out with the Mubarak gas processing plant, the Shurtangaz chemical plant, the Tallymarjon thermal power plant and other manufacturing enterprises.
