History of the department

The Department of Theoretical and Experimental Physics was separated from the Department of Physics in September 2021 as part of a structural reorganization approved by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan at Qarshi State University. According to Decision No. 1 of the University Academic Council in September 2021 and Order No. 413 of the University Rector, the Department of Theoretical and Experimental Physics was established

Main tasks

High-quality teaching of specialized disciplines for bachelor's and master's students. Organization of scientific and technical information exchange, innovative ideas, and experience sharing among the department's professors and lecturers. Conducting seminars and presentations in collaboration with specialized departments of foreign universities. Preparation and publication of textbooks, study guides, monographs, and educational-methodological materials for the department's disciplines. Conducting scientific and methodological work with talented students. Active participation of professors, lecturers, and gifted students in international and national scientific-practical conferences, etc.

The department conducts scientific research in the following areas:
Study of surfaces and near-surface regions of solid materials.
Fabrication of thin nanofilms and investigation of their electronic and physical properties.
A research laboratory, "Micro- and Nanoelectronics," has been established within the department.
The department's scientific focus is on the formation of micro- and nanoscale films on solid surfaces and the study of their structure and properties.
