Karshi State University is one of the largest and leading universities in Uzbekistan that supports a global approach to education and research. It is a multidisciplinary university operating within a multi-level education system.

Currently, the university comprises 13 faculties and 43 departments, offering 70 undergraduate, 29 master’s, and 26 doctoral programs.

Karshi State University provides education for preparing modern specialists in various fields of the economy. The university aims to foster an innovative environment that supports both students and faculty in developing contemporary education. It offers a unique blend of Asian and global academic experiences, helping students enhance their potential and prepare for the future. Beyond gaining new knowledge, students have the opportunity to apply their learning in practice, with all necessary conditions provided for hands-on experience. Throughout their academic journey, students acquire both theoretical and practical skills. Karshi State University not only ensures a well-rounded education but also encourages students to fully experience university life. The university life extends beyond academics, featuring various sports competitions and engaging events throughout the year. The university has 8 scientific councils, 22 research centers, 6 scientific laboratories and 27 educational laboratories. Over the past year, Karshi State University has made significant strides in increasing scientific potential, achieving research and innovation breakthroughs, and incorporating the best international practices into national education and science. Since 2021, the university has implemented a network-based planning system for scientific innovation efficiency at the department level. From 2021 to the present, 207 dissertations have been defended (18 in 2020), and 205 academic titles have been awarded (29 in 2020), leading to an increase in the university’s scientific potential from 28.2% to 42.6%. During this period, the university has published 212 textbooks (3 in 2020), 484 teaching manuals (12 in 2020), and 333 monographs (16 in 2020). Additionally, the publication of scientific articles in Web of Science and Scopus journals has been established, with 280 research articles published since 2021. Karshi State University actively participates in international education programs and has established over 64 cooperation agreements and exchange memorandums with foreign educational institutions. The university is also a member of major international scientific and educational projects such as Erasmus+ and Erasmus Mundus. As part of the Erasmus+ credit mobility project, Karshi State University has signed cooperation agreements with Jaén University in Spain, Constantine the Philosopher University in Slovaki, University of Zielona Góra in Poland. In accordance with Uzbekistan’s Higher Education Development Strategy 2030, the university’s International Joint Educational Programs Faculty collaborates with leading universities in Russia and Belarus to offer six undergraduate programs and four master’s programs to prepare graduates in these fields. Partner universities include: Belgorod National Research University, Moscow State Linguistic University, Privolzhsky Research Medical University, Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University named after N. Dobrolyubov, Belarusian National Technical University, Minsk State Linguistic University, Grodno State University. These partnerships cover bachelor’s and master’s programs in Philology (Russian and English languages), Economics, General Medicine, Pediatrics, Applied Mathematics, Linguistics (Russian and English languages). Currently, 224 undergraduate students and 37 master’s students are enrolled in joint programs. To enhance the quality of joint education programs, 80 professors teach in the undergraduate programs, while 30 local and international professors contribute to the master’s programs.
