Karshi State University is one of the largest and leading universities in Uzbekistan which offers a global approach to education and research. It is a multidisciplinary university which offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study.
KSU has 65 undergraduate programs, 26 graduate programs and, 27 doctorate programs within 13 faculties, 45 departments.

KSU takes an integrated and multi-disciplinary approach to research, working with partners from industry and government to address crucial and complex issues relevant to Central Asia and the world.
The previous year was a period of increasing scientific potential, making a number of updates in the scientific and innovative sphere, achieving scientific achievements and studying the most advanced foreign experiences, applying them to the field of science and education, incorporating them into national experiences for Karshi State University. In 2021, in order to increase the efficiency of activity in the field of scientific innovation, a network table was formed in the section of departments. From 2021 to the present time, 167 (18 in 2020) dissertations were defended and 127 (29 in 2020) scientific titles were obtained. As a result, the scientific potential of the university increased from 28.2% to 41.4%. From 2021 to the present, 121 textbooks (3 in 2020), 357 study guides (12 in 2020) and 251 monographs (21 in 2020) have been published. Publication of scientific articles in Web of Science and Scopus journals has been launched, and 200 articles have been published since 2021.
The university is an active participant in international educational programs. Currently, the university has signed agreements and memorandums of understanding on cooperation in the scientific and educational spheres with more than 70 foreign educational institutions and is actively working with them.
KSU is a member of a number of major international scientific and educational projects (Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundus, etc.). Currently, within the framework of the credit mobility project of the KSU Erasmus+ program, cooperation agreements have been signed with the University of Jaen in Spain, Constantine the Philosopher University in Slovakia, and the Zelena Gora University in Poland.
Based on the concept of the development of the higher education system until 2030, the faculty of international education programs of the university, in cooperation with the leading universities of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, launched 6 bachelor's programs and 4 master's programs. In particular, 220 undergraduates and 26 graduate students are studying in the fields of philology, biology, linguistics, medical work, pediatrics, and applied mathematics in joint educational programs with Belgorod State National Research University, Moscow State University of Linguistics, Privolzhsk Research Medical University, and Grodno State University. In order to improve the quality of education in joint educational programs, 94 professors are working in undergraduate programs and 56 professors in master's programs.
