History of the faculty

Since 1961, the faculty has been under the name of the Faculty of History and Philology. In 1968-1974, it was the Department of History and Geography, since 1977, the Faculty of History, since 2014, the Faculty of History and Social Sciences, since 2021, the Faculty of History.

Main tasks

The main task of faculty members is in the curricula of 60220300 – History (by countries and areas) for students and 70220301 – History (by areas and types of activities) for graduate students consists of teaching at a high level in the specified subjects. They are also engaged in scientific research, actively participate in educational and spiritual educational activities.
