History of the department

The anti-corruption “Compliance control” System management department was established in accordance with the order No. 171-I of the rector of Karshi State University, dated July 5, 2021. This was in implementation of order No. 281 of the Ministry of higher and secondary specialized education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, issued on june 28, 2021, titled “On the organization of the implementation of the 'Sector without corruption' project in the higher education system.” The department consists of the head of department and two senior specialists.

Main responsibilities

Preventing and combating corruption-related offenses implement measures to prevent corruption-related violations at the university and ensure efforts to combat corruption;

implementing the "Sector without corruption" project ensure the execution of measures aimed at implementing the “Sector without corruption” project at the university level, introduce the Anti-Corruption “Compliance control” system, and oversee its implementation;

identifying high-risk areas identify areas with high corruption risks and analyze the causes and conditions contributing to corruption-related offenses at the university;

addressing systemic issues regularly provide information about systemic issues that may lead to corruption, propose appropriate measures for their elimination, and ensure these proposals are implemented;

enhancing anti-corruption programs ensure the execution of programs aimed at addressing the causes and conditions of corruption-related offenses and improving the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures at the university;

coordinating public oversight organize and coordinate public oversight of anti-corruption efforts at the university, while conducting monitoring through modern methods and information and communication technologies;

exploring international standards and best practices study internationally recognized standards and foreign best practices in anti-corruption and public oversight, organize sociological, scientific, and other research, and develop proposals based on these studies;

conducting research on corruption trends organize sociological, scientific, and other studies to analyze the state, trends, and causes of corruption and assess the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures, while formulating recommendations based on research findings;

coordinating activities of affiliates oversee and coordinate the anti-corruption activities of technical schools and academic lyceums affiliated with the university.
