Labor activity

Baysunov Babir Khidirovich was born on March 1, 1971 in the Guzar district of the Kashkadarya region. In 1994 he graduated from Karshi State University. He began his career in 1994 as a lecturer in the Department of General Chemistry at Karshi State University. Until now, he has worked as an assistant to the rector of the university, deputy dean of the faculty of chemistry and biology, head of the department of botany, head of the master's program at the university, dean of the faculty of natural sciences, vice-rector for financial and economic work of the university, head of the Kashkadarya regional department of public education. Since October 2023, he has held the position of head of the department of botany.

History of the department

The department was founded in 2018. Since its foundation, the scientific potential of the department has grown from 50% to 75%. During this time, 3 employees received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and Biological Sciences from the department, 2 members received the academic title of associate professor. "Bioecology of Lipskya Insignis in the south of Uzbekistan" (2020), "Greening" (2021), "Results and prospects for the introduction of Hibiscus syriacus L. in the conditions of Uzbekistan" (2022), "Introduction of canna varieties into the arid zone" by horse members. The textbooks "Landscape Plants", "Greening the Cities of Uzbekistan", "Geobotany", "Landscape Plants" have been published. Under the scientific guidance of the teaching staff, 3 talented students became winners of various competitions, 2 students became famous scholarship holders.

The department carries out scientific activities in the following directions:                                                  

1. Comprehensive study of the flora of South Uzbekistan
2. Problems of enrichment of cultivated flora with introducers in extraarid conditions
3. To study the mechanisms of adaptation of introducers in new climatic conditions

In these areas, the department published 1 international, 1 republican scientific and practical conference, 1 textbook, 4 monographs, 5 manuals, more than 20 guidelines, more than 50 articles in local journals of the Higher Attestation Commission, more than 30 foreign journals.
