About Incubation Center

In 2022, an Incubation Center was established at Karshi State University. The center offers courses in computer literacy, web programming, graphic design, and project management, as well as video and photo editing. The Incubation Center is equipped with a total of 33 modern computers with the latest models, providing internet speeds of up to 80 Mbps (10 MB/second), 2 printers, 1 monoblock, and more than 440 million worth of material resources.

Since the establishment of the center, students have participated in several competitions and have secured top positions with their 42 projects, receiving cash prizes. For example, within the framework of the 'Green' startup support program, a 'Pitch Day' was held to select the best startups, during which Shahrizoda Shamsiddinova, a third-year student from the Biotechnology department of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology, was awarded a grant of 60 million soums for the development of her 'Clean Water' project. Additionally, inquisitive students interested in the IT field have participated in several team projects, including 14 in 'First Steps in Women’s Business,' 46 in the 'TechnoWays' technological development marathon, 18 in 'Top 10 Innovators,' 23 in 'Startup Projects of the Year', and 19 teams in the promising IT project competition 'Ideathon'.

Under the leadership of President Sh.M. Mirziyoyev, on December 20, 2023, an expanded video selector meeting was held to further develop digitalization in the regions, increase the services provided in the IT sector, and boost export volumes. As part of the 'One Million Programmers' project, it was planned to train 1,000 students to obtain national and international certificates. In line with this decision, students at the center have been trained and are currently obtaining Professional International IT certificates through the 'Coursera' International Certification Platform.

Objectives and Responsibilities of the Center.

The goal of the center is to develop the university's startup ecosystem, enhance its international reputation, and transform it into a higher educational institution that prepares highly skilled professionals for the national economy, conducts deep scientific, practical, and innovative research, and commercializes scientific and innovative knowledge.

Responsibilities of the Center:

• Develop, monitor, select, and compile a list of advanced business ideas and innovative projects at the university.
• Identify youth initiatives in the field of innovation to form and prepare youth business and startup teams for project activities.
• Organize interactive courses and provide technical support to support youth business teams.
• Assist in the development of scientific research and innovative projects conducted by university students, master's students, doctoral students, and young scientists.
• Support the commercialization of the university's scientific-technical and innovative developments.
• Promote the university's integration into national and international innovation programs.
• Ensure participation of the university's innovative activities and results at the national and international levels.
• Provide consulting services and organize events based on contracts.
• Conduct scientific research in the fields of digital economy, biotechnology, nanotechnology, natural and exact sciences, tourism, social and humanities, and agriculture.
• Participate in international grants, research project competitions, and conferences.
• Form a list of programmers from among university students, master's students, doctoral students, and young scientists, and organize clubs.
• Establish close relationships with higher education institutions, research organizations, and techno parks in the country to implement the center's tasks.
