Strategic Partnership: Karshi State University and Muborak Gas Refinery Collaborate for Scientific Advancements

The Muborak Gas Refinery holds an indispensable position in the oil and gas industry and the fuel-energy sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Engaged in the reprocessing of natural gas for over 50 years, the refinery plays a vital role in purifying and drying natural gas from hydrocarbon impurities, producing stabilized gas condensate, liquefied gas, and manufacturing technical sulfur for the chemical industry.

A partnership has been established between the "Muborak Gas Refinery" and Karshi State University. Within the framework of this collaboration, the university''s Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations, prof. I. Bekpulatov, the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology, L. Kamolov, and the professors of the Inorganic Chemistry Department, B. Borkhonov, and N. Umirov, visited the "Muborak Gas Refinery."

During the visit, detailed information was provided about the scientific laboratories of Karshi State University and ongoing projects. Throughout the discussion, key specialists of the refinery participated in addressing issues such as reducing water consumption, solving problems related to reprocessing effluents, implementing complex utilization of gases released into the atmosphere, and localizing substances that determine the cleanliness level of gas.

Following the visit, discussions were held on establishing cooperation agreements within the framework of industrial partnerships.
