Turkology Experts Convene in Astana: Professor Yuldosheva Represents KarSU

Professor Nilufar Yuldosheva, Doctor of Philology and Head of the Department of Uzbek Linguistics at Karshi State University, is on an official visit to Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan, starting May 12. The visit was arranged at the invitation of the Department of Turkology at L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University, which ranks 321st in the QS World University Rankings and is listed among the top 1000 universities globally. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen academic cooperation between the two universities, exchange scientific and practical experience, and gain insight into current educational reforms. As part of the program, Professor Yuldosheva participated as an expert in an extended academic-methodological council meeting, where representatives from Turkic-speaking countries gathered to discuss professional development and the improvement of educational standards in the field of Turkology. In addition, she delivered a series of lectures for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Turkology and the Kazakh language. The topics included “Comparative-Historical Grammar of Turkic Languages,” “History of Language,” and “Areal Studies of Turkic Languages.” She also conducted a scientific-practical seminar-training session for faculty members of the host department. Professor Nilufar Yuldosheva’s visit to Kazakhstan is ongoing.
