Hippocratic Oath Ceremony

A Hippocratic Oath is an oath recited while a white coat is placed on each student’s shoulder, and it is a sign of the student’s entrance into the medical profession.

On October 28, 2023, the freshman of the Faculty of Medicine of Karshi State University took a Hippocratic Oath at the ceremony, which was held in the main hall of the regional musical drama theatre.

The day marked a historic moment as they took the oath ahead of their five-year and more medical studies and profession.

The vice rector for scientific affairs and innovations, I. Bekpulatov, and the university faculty members welcomed the students into the medical profession and wished the future doctors great success in their studies and work.

For information, the faculty of medicine is one of the recently established faculties at the university. However, in the current academic year alone, 169 applicants became students of the Faculty of Medicine.

By taking the oath, future doctors aim to gain deep knowledge, master the profession, and serve people.
