“mGovAwards” Competition Announcement!

On September 14, 2023, the manager of Startup Ecosystem Development, Bunyod Kutbiddinov, and the project manager at the IT Park of Kashkadarya regional branch, Islom Karimov, held a seminar at the Incubation Centre of Karshi State University. At the seminar, they announced the next "mGovAwards" competition, organised in cooperation with the UAE government and the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

For those interested, the competition is open to everyone. In particular, students of higher educational institutions, as well as students of general education and secondary special education, are welcome to participate. Contestants are supposed to develop a mobile application for the public sector in the areas of transport and logistics, data-based decisions, education, entrepreneurship, human resources and welfare, ecology and green energy, and tourism. The winners will receive a cash prize, recognition, and an opportunity to work on future governmental projects.

The prize allocated for the winners comprises a total of $100,000, including $50,000 for first place, $30,000 for second place, and $20,000 for third place.

The aim of the competition is to improve the social lives of citizens of Uzbekistan by providing efficient and continuous public services using a convenient mobile application.

We believe that this competition is a great opportunity for young people of all ages and domains to gain exposure, receive feedback, and potentially win prizes, regardless of their previous experience or background.
