Cultural Tribute: Student Theater Brings Awareness to Political Repression at Military Event
The first week of October is commemorated in our country as the Week of Remembrance for the Victims of Political Repression. This observance is outlined in a Presidential decree aimed at expanding efforts to study, promote, and immortalize the lives and activities of our compatriots who fell victim to political repression.
In honor of this week, a spiritual and educational event titled “Those Who Struggled for Truth” was held at the 15473 military unit located in the Khanobod fortress of Karshi District. The event featured performances by the “Qaqnus” student theater club from Karshi State University. On that day, the young student-actors presented excerpts and monologues from the play “Cho’lpon” (Kunduzsiz kechalar – Nights Without Dawn) by the renowned Uzbek poet Usmon Azim. Their skilled performances were met with enthusiastic applause from the attendees.
