Third International Ecology and Tourism Congress Brings Together CIS Youth in Shakhrisabz
From August 8th to 13th, the “Lochin” camp in Shakhrisabz, Kashkadarya region, hosted the “Youth: Builders of the Future” Third International Ecology and Tourism Congress.
Throughout the event, participants engaged in a variety of activities, including seminars on “Tourism and Ecology,” intellectual games like “Zakovat” and “Munozara” (debate), the “MUN” (Model United Nations) project, design exhibitions, a “Turizm kvest” (Tourism Quest), the “Turizm spartakiadasi” (Tourism Spartakiad) and competitions for the best tourism and ecology projects. The Congress also included elections for ambassadors of the Tourism and Ecology Council.
Young people from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Malaysia, Egypt, Bangladesh, and all regions of Uzbekistan took part, showcasing their talents and knowledge. Among them were active students from Karshi State University, who distinguished themselves by securing top positions in various categories.
Of particular note, Azam Muratov, a fourth-year student from the Faculty of Economics, was honored with a “Ishonch yorlig’i” (Certificate of Trust) and selected to serve as an ambassador for the Youth Tourism Council of Kashkadarya region for the 2024-2025 term.
