Karshi State University Student Excels in Uzbekistan Armwrestling Championship, Secures Spot in Asian Championship

On the 4th and 5th of February, an intense competition unfolded in the city of Samarkand as athletes from various age groups showcased their prowess in the sport of armwrestling during the Uzbekistan Championship.

Among the participants were representatives from the Ministries of Defence, Internal Affairs, Emergency Situations, the National Security Service, and the Boxing Federation, as well as athletes from sports clubs across different regions, all vying for victory.

Otabek Jabborov, a 4th-year student from the History Faculty of Karshi State University, emerged triumphant, claiming the top spot on the podium in the 90 kg weight category. Otabek secured a gold medal for his prowess in right-arm wrestling and a silver medal for his left-arm skills.

With this remarkable achievement, Otabek has earned the opportunity to represent Uzbekistan in the upcoming Asian Championship scheduled to take place in India in the month of May.
