Cooperation agreement with Alliance Française Language and Culture Centre

On November 8, 2023, Chene Maxime, Coordinator of International Cultural Missions of the Alliance Française Language and Culture Centre under the Embassy of France in Uzbekistan, and Theo Gardes, responsible for the development of communication and international cultural relations, visited Karshi State University.

During the visit, the French experts met with the university vice-rector for academic affairs, Abdukhamid Kholmurodov, the head of the International Relations Department, Dilsuz Musaeva, the dean of Roman and German Philology, Shakhnoza Nashirova, and the head of the Department of French Language and Literature, Aziza Zoirova. At the meeting, they had talks about future cooperation projects, the establishment of research internships, and the development of joint projects. The bilateral agreement ended with the signing of a cooperation agreement.

After the meeting, professors of the department of French Language and Literature and the students of the faculty of Roman and Germanic Philology took part in the master class conducted by the two experts. The participants discussed the issues of intercultural competence, and the experts exposed the participants to new approaches to teaching and learning the French language.
