The 25th session of General Assembly of UNWTO in Samarkand
The 25th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) was held from October 16 to 20 in the International Tourist Centre in Samarkand. The event was attended by over 1,000 participants from 128 countries, including 79 tourism ministers and 24 deputy tourism ministers. Moreover, the event brought representatives from 160 UN member states and 500 affiliate members.
The dean of the Faculty of Economics of KarSU, G. Nabiev, the head of the Department of Tourism and Marketing, Sh. Muhiddinov, and the professors of the department, N. Toshev, R. Vayskulov, and F. Salomov, represented Karshi State University.
As part of the session, it is planned to sign memoranda with Karshi State University and the International University of Tourism and Hospitality of Kazakhstan, as well as the Academy of Sports and Tourism.
According to the memoranda, the development and implementation of joint educational programmes on the organisation of scientific and cultural events, lectures, conferences, seminars, research programmes and their components, and the exchange of bibliographies and other information materials of mutual interest and cooperation in a number of directions were expected to be established.
At the signing ceremony of the bilateral memorandum, the dean of the Faculty of Economics of the Karshi State University, Gulom Nabiyev, the vice-rector of the International University of Tourism and Hospitality of Kazakhstan, Kultay Adilova, and the dean of the Faculty of Tourism of the Academy of Sports and Tourism, Aygul Ageleuova, participated.
