Innovative Research Proposals Discussed to Boost Kashkadarya’s Development

On April 18, Karshi State University hosted a high-level meeting between leading scholars of the Kashkadarya region and the leadership of the Council for Coordinating Analytical and Research Structures — established by the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 31, 2024. The meeting was held within the framework of the Council’s comprehensive study of the region’s socio-economic potential. Its main objective was to identify key growth areas, outline promising directions, and develop practical, research-based approaches to drive sustainable development.

During the discussion, scholars presented a range of forward-thinking initiatives across various sectors such as the economy, education, culture, ecology, water management, entrepreneurship, and tourism. Highlights included: 

-         Integrated management of agriculture and water resources

-         Application of biochemical methods in agroeconomics

-         AI-powered foreign language instruction

-         Reclamation of saline soils

-         Digitalization of the tourism industry

-         Establishment of a medicinal macromycetes collection

-         Production of supercapacitors for alternative energy

In addition, new interdisciplinary research directions aimed at fostering sustainable, innovative, and competitive development in the region were proposed by the academic community. Following the meeting, members of the Coordinating Council toured the newly inaugurated academic building of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and observed the work being done in its state-of-the-art language centers.
