The official visit of Karshi State University’s delegation to Europe, led by Rector Professor Dilmurod Nabiyev, continues at a dynamic pace. As part of the visit, the delegation traveled to the city of Amsterdam in the Netherlands — widely known as the “City of Glass” for its cutting-edge greenhouse technologies. The visit began with a meeting at the World Horti Center, a leading international exhibition and trade hub for horticulture and agribusiness. During the meeting, Professor Dilmurod Nabiyev introduced the delegation and provided insights into Karshi State University’s achievements in education, research, and innovation, as well as the academic and research opportunities available to students and scholars. Marga Vintges, Strategic Advisor to the Municipality of Westland and Project Manager for Greenport West-Holland, also addressed the participants. She shared valuable information about the synergy between government, research institutions, and the private sector in Westland, emphasizing innovative solutions in the agricultural sector. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Caicheng Huang, Professor at Inholland University of Applied Sciences, and Professor Li Zeng, International Projects Manager at Lentiz Education Group. Both experts engaged in discussions on topics including agribusiness, biotechnology, food security, innovative teaching methods, and prospects for international collaboration. At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to develop cooperation in areas such as sustainable agriculture, efficient use of water resources, ecological sustainability, and food safety. Plans were also outlined to initiate student and faculty exchange programs, with a focus on vertical greenhouse construction and modern agricultural technologies.
