KarSU Students Gain Insight into Agroecology with Expert Professor Divya Srivastava
On November 6, Professor Divya Srivastava from Amity University, India, visited Karshi State University and delivered an insightful lecture on “Soil and Agroecology” to second-year students of the Faculty of Geography and Agronomy, specializing in Ecology and Environmental Protection. The lecture focused on the critical role of soil health and sustainable agricultural practices, providing students with valuable knowledge and practical approaches to addressing current ecological challenges. In addition to her lecture, Professor Srivastava conducted a series of specialized seminar-training sessions and masterclasses tailored for students from various programs within the faculty. These included Agrochemistry and Agrosoil Science, Ecology and Environmental Protection, Geography, Greenhouse Management, Fruit Growing and Viticulture, Vegetable Growing, Melon and Potato Farming, and Plant Protection. Throughout these interactive sessions, students had the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning, discuss emerging trends in agroecology, and deepen their understanding of sustainable farming and environmental conservation techniques. The educational program, which spans 10 days, aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become leaders in the fields of agriculture and environmental protection. The collaboration with Professor Srivastava underscores Karshi State University’s commitment to providing its students with exposure to global expertise and cutting-edge scientific approaches.
