Promoting Healthy Eating and Public Health
An engaging event focused on “Healthy Eating Habits” was recently held at the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology. The event brought together key figures, including O. Kuziyev, the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work, Professor Sh. Kurbonov, a renowned physiologist and Doctor of Biological Sciences, faculty leaders, professors, tutors from the Youth Affairs Department, and students. Opening the event, O. Kuziyev highlighted the global significance of healthy eating, its role in maintaining overall health, and expressed his deep appreciation for Professor Sh. Kurbonov, who has dedicated many years to researching this important issue. Professor Kurbonov then took the stage to discuss the importance of healthy eating, the challenges associated with it, and the ongoing research in Uzbekistan and worldwide that aims to improve public health. The event also celebrated Professor Kurbonov’s 85th birthday with heartfelt congratulations, including the reading of a special “Rector’s Congratulations” letter. The speeches paid tribute to Professor Kurbonov’s invaluable contributions to education, highlighting his role in nurturing a new generation of talented, knowledgeable, and capable individuals who will contribute to society. Professor Sh. Kurbonov, a distinguished academic and member of the Turon Academy of Sciences, has represented Uzbekistan at numerous international scientific conferences in Europe, Russia, and beyond. His academic work includes six textbooks, ten study guides, and twelve monographs, making significant contributions to the field of biology.
