To promote student employment, Karshi State University has established the “Chevar qizlar” sewing workshop. Here, students produce high-quality textile items such as towels, bed linens, mattress covers, and pillowcases to meet the university’s internal needs, especially for dormitories. The workshop operates in two shifts, providing jobs for 20 female students.

During work, students receive training from T. Qahhorova, a lecturer from the Department of Technological Education, who covers essential sewing skills, the history of national attire, sewing machine mechanics, garment construction, and tailoring techniques. This workshop also aims to empower students from disadvantaged backgrounds, equipping them with skills that can support future entrepreneurship and offer additional income opportunities.

For context, the “Chevar qizlar” sewing workshop began operations on March 10, 2022. Recently, a sewing space was added to expand the workshop, along with 10 new, modern sewing machines to enhance productivity.
