On April 11, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a video selector meeting on measures to increase the effectiveness of work in the field of youth policy.

There are more than 19 million young people under the age of 30 in our country, which comprises 55% of the population. While 600,000 young people enter the labour market every year, this number will reach 1 million in the next 10 years.

Therefore, special attention is paid to providing quality education, vocational training, and employment to young people.

A number of tasks were defined at the video selector meeting on youth policy. Within the framework of the implementation of these tasks, a modern and magnificent "Youth Centre" was built at the expense of extra-budgetary funds of the university.

The centre has a capacity of 500 seats and hosts various cultural and educational events, such as "Zakovat" intellectual games, "QVZ" competitions, amateur performances of the Student Theatre Studio, and concert programmes of the "Maqom" ensemble. In the future, the youth centre is intended to be the favourite place of the students.
