Labor activity

Shakhnoza Nashirova started her career as a secondary school teacher at Karshi state specialized school number 10 in 2004. She worked in the Department of English language and Literature at Karshi State University between 2010 and 2014. From 2014 to 2015, she worked as a teacher at the Department of Linguistics, and in 2015-2020 in the Department of English language and Literature at the same university. Shakhnoza Nashirova worked as a senior teacher at the Department of Methodology and Practices of Teaching English from 2021 to 2023. She has been working as the dean of The Romano – Germanic Philology Faculty since October 1, 2023. In connection with the merger of the Faculty of Romano-Germanic Philology and the Faculty of English Philology, the name of the faculty was changed to the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​in accordance with the Decision of the Scientific Council of the University No. 575 of November 17, 2023. Currently, Shakhnoza Nashirova is working as the dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages. 

In 2011, she was awarded with the badges of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “20 years to the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and in 2022 with the badges “30 years to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

History of the faculty

In 1965, The Department of Foreign Languages was established in Karshi State Pedagogical Institute in order to prepare competitive specialists with a bachelor’s degree in English and German. In accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 526 of December 4, 1968, this department was transformed into the "Foreign Languages" faculty. In 1992, in connection with the granting of University status to Karshi State Pedagogical Institute, the faculty began to operate under the name of the "Foreign Languages" faculty.

In the new structure of Karshi State University approved by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan (2011) on June 30, 2014, the name of the Faculty of Romano-Germanic Languages was changed to the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​according to the decision of the University's Scientific Council on July 8. According to the order No. 646-X dated November 3, 2021, the faculty of "Foreign Languages" was divided into two, and two faculties, namely the Faculty of Romano-Germanic Philology and the Faculty of English Philology were established. . In connection with the merger of the Faculty of Romano-Germanic Philology and the Faculty of English Philology, the name of the faculty was changed to the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​in accordance with the Decision of the Scientific Council of the University No. 575 of November 17, 2023.

Main tasks

• to organize high-level training based on advanced, modern educational and vocational programs in the fields of the English language and its literature, the philology and teaching foreign languages, specifically English, German and French;

• to educate young people in the spirit of the idea and ideology of national independence and universal human values;

• to train foreign language specialists, teachers, translators for all educational systems;

• training of highly qualified teachers;
